Charles pioneered robotic surgery in Victoria, being the first surgeon to perform a robotic pancreatic operation in 2015 and the first to perform a robotic liver operation in 2016 and currently offers the full range of the most up-to-date and evidence based surgical procedures for surgery of the gallbladder, liver and pancreas. Charles' clinical focus also extends to general upper gastrointestinal laparoscopic and robotic procedures including weight loss and hernia surgery.

Charles has also published extensively in many high impact factor peer-reviewed journals on the topics of pancreas cancer, liver cancer and gallbladder cancer, as well as laparoscopic surgery and trauma.

 

New referrals are welcome, with minimal waiting times currently offered for appointments. Charles is also happy to be contacted directly by general practitioners to discuss the management of patients.
