Prior to her training in rehabilitation and pain medicine, Glareh gained extensive general medical expertise in her time as a both a general practitioner registrar and general medicine registrar. It was in these roles that she developed her interest and skills in medical research and medical education. Glareh’s extensive Pain Fellowship training was completed at the well-regarded Alfred, St Vincent’s and the Austin hospitals. Her Rehabilitation training was undertaken at the Austin, St Vincent’s, Epworth and Bendigo hospitals. She also worked at Peninsula Health as a Rehabilitation Physician and supervising interns and senior medical registrars.
Glareh is experienced in treating all types of pain and holds a strong interest in pain of a neurological origin, musculoskeletal pain, persistent post-surgical pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and abdominal and pelvic pain.
In addition to her work at Pain Specialists Australia, Glareh works as a Pain Medicine Physician at Eastern Health (Angliss hospital) and a Rehabilitation Physician at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital.
Glareh believes that pain can affect many aspects of a person’s life including their ability to function, their mental wellbeing and quality of life. She is passionate in supporting her patients to break this vicious cycle and supporting them on a path to recovery. She describes herself as a patient advocate and involves her patients in their treatments at every step.
